Princess Luna, also known as the princess of the night, is one of the main rulers of Equestria. The younger sister of Princess Celestia, and a secondary teacher to Twilight that some identify her as. Luna is in charge of raising the moon and watching over everypony's dreams.
Personality[]
Luna is a very mysterious gal around the first season, but slowly shows herself more as the episodes go by. Luna has been known to have quite the temper, but also shows to be secretive and has a low self-esteem because of the damage she has caused as Nightmare Moon. Thankfully, the mane 6 has helped her overcome her fears, and gave her confidence. She's definitely a fan favorite too!

Luna is married to Derpy Hooves and has a foal with her, Prince Vladimir Polaris.
Auroraverse[]
In Auroraverse, former Queen Chrysalis and Princess Luna secretly date when Chrysalis when out hiding. They have two children that are also in hiding named Sweet Dreams and Dream Catcher.
Omniverse[]
Here, Luna and Discord are revealed to have been in a past relationship. Their now hidden relationship continued until Princess Celestia found them out, and also realized they had a child with them, Shadow Axiom.
Magiverse[]
Luna is married to Scorpan and reveals this to Celestia shortly after they got engaged. She has no children with him. Luna eventually dies after being killed by one of Gilda's employed griffins and is currently buried in Silver Shoals.
Thirtiverse[]
Luna is married to King Sombra's brother and has only 3 children, the first one being a boy, named Spitzy Moon, two girls, named Moony-Moon and the last one named Moonist. Her children were named after the moon because Luna means ''Moon'' in Spanish.
WPWVerse[]
After the rise of the World Pony War, Luna helps her sister Celestia in building a resistance against the war, known as the Ponies of Peace. She frequently attempts to contact Twilight Violet via dreams. Unbeknownst to Celestia, Luna has been doing this since Violet was just a little foal. This meant that Luna knew Twilight had a child before Celestia did.
Despite being unmarried, Luna adopted an orphan colt pegasus who lost his parents in the war, and named him Umbrum. She is also the self-proclaimed adoptive mother of Twilight Violet, having met her through dreams since Violet was little.
