Spike is a dragon who is Twilight's Sparkle's Royal Advisor and adopted older sister. Spike is formerly the Dragon Lord and formerly made a "dragon code". Spike soon grows a pair of wings and confesses his love to the unicorn Rarity.

My Little Story Mode
Like below, Spike is in love with Smolder. But when she dies, Fred’s pony, Nugget Joy (alluded to by first name in MCSM Season Two Episode Four) shows up and kills Spike by stabbing him with a large knife, complete with Nugget’s yandere laugh. Spike wakes up in the afterlife and is greeted by Smolder who explains what happened.
Magiverse
In this alter universe, Spike is in love with Smolder. She eventually dies after being killed by a Griffon. Spike is comforted by his then-husband Garble. They marry and have a male dragon; Fiero, and a female dragon; Earnest. Garble moves to Canterlot with their children to accompany Spike. The two divorce after lots of bickering over the years, and remain frenemies.
