Twilight Sparkle is an alicorn pony (formerly a unicorn). She is a canon character and member of the Mane Six.

Twilight Sparkle is the primary main character of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. She is a female unicorn pony who transforms into an Alicorn and becomes a princess in a season finale. At the beginning of the series, she and Spike, her best friend and assistant, move from Canterlot to Golden Oak Library in Ponyville to study the magic of friendship. Twilight Sparkle represents the element of magic. Before becoming a princess, she regularly sent friendship reports to Princess Celestia.
Personality[]
At the beginning of the series, Twilight is more interested in books than friends. Even after Twilight becomes good friends with the rest of the main characters, she continues to read and consult books, but she later spends more time with them and appreciate them more.
Twilight could be considered stern, and very serious when it comes to following rules, but she cares for others around her and usually just is worried about their well-being. She is also very knowledgeable about many different things including Equestria's history.

In the Neonverse, Twilight goes through a series of failed relationships and decides to put off looking for somepony for quite some time. She is friends with Double Diamond, however, who has a secret crush on her. She eventually ends up finding out and he convinces her to try again. He treats her well, and they end up getting married.

Twilight is at a picnic with her friends, questioning why the hay random users online would fantasize about ridiculous alternate universes where she would get shipped with other ponies, in spite of the fact that she does not have certain feelings for any other pony, other than Flash Sentry, whom she had barely interacted with since, hmm, over 7 years ago? Seems legit.

In here, Twilight is a successful lawyer and politician. Overtime, Twi and Fluttershy have a rivalry, which is eventually settled by a duel. During this duel, Twilight kills Shy, which ends up ruining her political career.

Here, Twilight is one of the four princesses and is married to Rainbow Dash. They have a daughter named Rainbow Sparkle.

Here, Twilight is kidnapped by a demon spider called LongoLegs. The spider pretends to be Twilight and he contacts Parker Haj and Chester Beckington. They two arrive at the abandoned mansion and Chester questions whether they should take this seriously or not. Parker manages to convince him and then knock on the door. LongoLegs is in his Twilight disguise and he lets them in. It explains what’s happening and they agree to spend the night and investigate. They sit up cameras and sleep the night in the spare room. Meanwhile, LongoLegs starts to abuse Twilight. Parker saves her and the two grow feelings for each other and get married, leaving Chester devastated.

Here, Twilight is approached by Flash Sentry, and gets asked if they should date, and the former happily accepts. Before they were married, they had a filly, Evenfall. After getting married, they had a colt, Whistlebolt. After being married for a few years, Twilight realized that Flash wasn't the dream stallion she thought he was, and they divorced, when Evenfall was 7 and Whistlebolt was 3. Even though she and Flash are no longer married, the two still keep in touch as friends.

Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash were dating,and they were at the back of the friendship school,Rainbow Dash asks if Twilight would marry her,of course,Twilight said yes,and they got married and had two children,a mare named Sparkle Speed and a stallion named Speedy Light,and they are living happily.

After all her friends got married (excluding Fluttershy's divorce), Twilight became slightly sad because she didn't have a love yet. Prior to Luna's death in Silver Shoals and Celestia's return to Canterlot, Twilight becomes happy and worried at the same time. Twilight's mixed feelings catches the attention of a Royal Guard Flash Sentry. They got married after two years, and they had a mare foal Sparkling Armor, and a stallion named Starknight. Flash dies of old age, when Twilight was 82. She is currently scheming a plan to defend the Equestrians from Gilda's clutches.

Twilight, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Starlight are part of a team known as The Mash Toons, a team that explores and defends the multi-verse from bad guys. Other members include, Dipper and Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls), Finn and Jake (Adventure Time) Mordecai, Rigby, Benson, Pops, Skips, Muscle Man, and Hive Five Ghost (Regular Show) and Toad (Mario) Twilight and Dipper become very close due to their similar interests, and begin developing feelings for each other.
WPWVerse[]
Twilight Sparkle has grown to be over a hundred years, and has not yet been married to anyone. Out of impulse, she sleeps with Prince Blueblood, which results in an alicorn filly, Twilight Violet. Unable to bear the responsibility of fatherhood, Blueblood flees, leaving Twilight alone to take care of baby Violet. With the heavy burden of secretly taking care of a baby while managing Equestria, Twilight is taken over by the darkness in her heart, the same darkness that turned Luna into Nightmare Moon, transforming her into Midnight Sparkle.
Before turning into Midnight Sparkle, Twilight was aware of the slow transformation and chained herself in a chamber deep in the castle of Canterlot. Before doing so, she declared that from now on, each pony race would have to fight for their honor until the ultimate race is able to gain control of Equestria. Her daughter Twilight Violet is currently planning to free Midnight Sparkle from the chains and return her back to normal.
